Areas of Our Organization

Over the years we have developed several parts of our organization, all of which are run by volunteers. Each area typically operates during our events and many operate on select weekends throughout the year.

Farmers Flea Market

Our Farmers Flea Market has been open for more than 15 years and offers a wide variety of vendors from antiques to produce to everything in between.

Williams Grove Railroad

Our Railroad is one of the oldest areas of our organization. It has been continuously in operation since 1961 when we purchased Steam Locomotive #643 (then known as #5). We also have two diesel locomotives. During our events and select Sundays throughout the year, you can take a ride on the Williams Grove Railroad.

Blacksmith Shop

Nearly every Sunday the Farmers Flea Market is open and during all of our events our blacksmiths are busy at work making a wide variety of items and offering demonstrations and classes. Sometimes they will even take special orders.

Butcher Shop

During events and select Sundays throughout the year, our Butcher Shop crew can be found hard at work making our famous scrapple and sausage as well as many other items.

Farming

From planting to threshing and baling, our farming crew is busy many weekends and during events preparing to give demonstrations at our Annual Steam Show in August/September.

Model Railroad

For many years we have had our very own Model Railroad located behind our kitchen adjacent to the Living Museum. Kids of all ages enjoy watching the trains run and seeing from year to year what may have changed.

Museums

We have received many donations as well as made purchases of equipment and tools to preserve for years to come. We have several museums on our grounds to explore.

Sawmill

Select Sundays throughout the year as well as during our events our sawmill is in operation cutting lumber. Many of our carpentry projects around the grounds use lumber cut by the sawmill.
